Research

Quantitative research on gender, education, and labor markets.

My research asks how resources, institutions, and platform rules structure unequal opportunities in education and work.

Research Agenda

My current work centers on gender gaps in STEM preferences and choices. I study how household affluence, economic security, expected returns, and country-level institutions influence gendered aspirations, study choices, credential realization, and educational exits.

A second line of research examines platform and informal work in China, especially how algorithmic management, gendered safety rules, ratings, digital literacy, and unpaid care responsibilities shape wage gaps and work opportunities.
